Here are some information for the final.
- The final will be Wednesday, June 10, 8:00-11:00 am.
- It will cover all the materials covered in the course -- see
"Schedule" on the main web page for more info.
- About one half of the questions will be on Special
Relativity, the other half on the rest of the Modern Physics
material that I managed to cover.
- You can bring two sheets of notes. You can write on both
sides.
- Absolutely bring
- A blue book
- A calculator (you may need it!)
- There will be a review session,place and time to be
determined. Note: I will not prepare anything for the
review. Bring your questions and I will answer them.
- Info added June 3: The review
session will be Sunday June 7th, 7:30 pm in BRDA 1610
- For practice, I collected some Modern Physics problems that I
assigned for the finals in the Physics 25 classes that I taught
10+ years ago. These should give you a good flavor for the
type of questions that you should expect.

I checked that they are correct.
- As for Special Relativity practice problems: there is the
midterm and the practice midterm, as well as a bunch of
homeworks and exercises from the discussion session, so I don't
think you need much more.

Attached to the practice problems linked above
there are two pages of formulas. These were provided by
me to the students taking my previous Physics 25 finals.
I will provide this exact two pages to you on the day of the
final. I am not sure how much of these you will
need, if any, since I have not put the final together
yet. But they will be there for you.

Letter
Grades
Based on the combined score, I assigned letter grades roughly as
follows:
- > 97 A+
- > 85 A
- > 79 A-
- > 72 B+
- > 65 B
- > 60 B-
- > 57 C+
- > 52 C
- > 49 C-
- > 45 D
- otherwise F
I say
roughly because I bumped up letter grades of several students
whose performance on the final was significantly better
than on the midterm.
These
were all judgement calls, please do not try to argue your case.
