PEP-II

• On 9/13/99, PEP-II hit 1.0 x 10**33/cm**2/s, and subsequently they have achieved >1.0 x 10**33/cm**2/s with 0.989 Amp in the LER, and 0.597 Amp in the HER.

CESR

• At the CLEO PI meeting of 9/14/99, the decision was taken not to install the full CLEO-III detector (the silicon tracker is omitted) prior to the re-establishment of colliding beams. The run will be rededicated to `commissioning'; it is unclear whether the tracking system with no silicon can achieve the resolution in theta, the angle w/r to the colliding beams, of <3 milliradians, that is needed to fully utilize the pi/K separation system, known as the RICH (Ring Imaging CHerenkov detector).

• On 2/15/99, colliding beams for physics terminated at CESR. The plan was install CLEO-III and re-establish vacuum for new operation by 9/24/99.
• CESR's record current occurred on 1/23/99, when 0.248 A of positrons and 0.264 A of electrons were stored for a total current of 0.512 A.
