- Nobody should be downloading and hand-filing journal articles any more. I use Zotero, a Firefox plugin, which I use for academic stuff as well as (e.g.) product data sheets. My wife uses Sente. I know some of my astro colleagues use Papers.

- What's that tree with the red bark by the library? The Campus Flora Project has catalogued many (most?) of UCSB's landscaping. The trees outside my office are the lemon-scented gum Corymbia citriodora, and are not true eucalyptus.
