Welcome to the UCSB Particle Astrophysics Laboratory. We study the
role of nuclear and particle physics in the evolution of the
Universe, with special interest in abundant but weakly-interacting
particles: neutrinos and dark matter.
We are primarily experimentalists; we are active in large collaborative experiments, and we also work on developing new detector technologies for future experiments.
For information on the Fukushima reactor accident, see my KITP talk at http://online.itp.ucsb.edu/online/plecture/bmonreal11/. The original slides are available in Keynote and Powerpoint formats. A Japanese translation will be available soon. Contact me if you are interested in translating to other languages.
