Hardware

I am currently working on research and development for a fast, radially oriented, scintilating-fiber tracker with high granularity Silicon Photomultiplier readout. This concept was developed by David Stuart and is documented here. We are building a prototype device for which I am responsible for multiple tasks: develop data acquisition system/software using Embedded Linux devices (i.e. Beaglebone Black boards); design and test ADC signal processing circuitry; design of various aspects of the mounting/support structure for the readout electronics.

While I was living at CERN for 2.5 years, I worked on the HCAL sub-detector of CMS. I was primarily focused on quality assurance testing and characterization of the Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPM) to be installed in the Hadronic Outer (HO) partition during LS1. I spend a smaller portion of time on the analysis of single photo-electron (SPE) quality assurance data for the multi-anode PMTs to be installed in the Hadronic Forward (HF) partition during LS1.
