Postdoctoral research fellow on CMS

The high-energy physics group at University of California Santa Barbara has an opening for an outstanding postdoctoral research fellow to work on the CMS experiment at CERN.

Currently, the UCSB HEP group is involved in high pt physics at CMS including searches for new particles. UCSB was involved in the construction and installation of the CMS tracker and will continue to participate in its maintenance and operation at CERN. We are also involved in the CMS tracker upgrades for the Super LHC. The successful candidate would be based at CERN where s/he will have the opportunity to analyse CMS data and participate in tracker activities. Candidates for these positions should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in physics and should have demonstrated excellence in high-energy physics research or a closely related field.
