Winnowed washouts, we work wherever - Walmart, Woolworth's -

Wendy's waiters, wiping windows, washing, wearily weeding.

Welfare. Wantads. Windchilled, wintering wrapped with wastepaper.

Wretched, wasted, woebegone winos, wastewater wallowers.

Wormwood.

We will wonder why.

Wizened wheezing whiplashed wheelchaired worms,
