The Imaginary Partition of Space

The imaginary partition of space
By shadowed walls and archways,
The delineation of angles
Fleshed, obscured by gradations of gray,
The differentiation of textures and shades
Pixilated, expressed in potentials,
The irreality of perspective represented
In codes of interrelated chemicals;
Just as the numerable instructions
Determining the plane of a cheek,
The enmeshed curves of a limb,
Perhaps the possible grace of a gesture:
These right-angled evocations of ideals
Illuminated by approximations
Of arrays of point sources,
Interfering and diffracting,
Interacting in uninterpretable complexities.
