Hybrid fast test procedure checklist.
1. Put heels grounding straps on both feet. | |
2. Test grounding straps at ground test station. | |
3. Connect hybrid to ARC front end board. | |
4. Turn on low voltage power supplies. Adjust each if needed until it reads ~5.0V. | |
5. Start the ARC software. | |
6. Click on the initialize board button. Enter hft_3021671300XXX where XXX is the last 3 digits of the hybrid serial number. | |
7. Select the fast tests tab and run all tests. | |
8. Select the all tests tab. Select and run the following
tests: pedestal : peak - inverter on , deconvolution - inverter on pulse shape: peak - inverter on , deconvolution - inverter on raw noise |

10. In directory c:/cms/arc/data mkdir hft_3021671300XXX where XXX is the last 3 digits of the hybrid serial number. | |
11. Copy any files from c:/cms/arc/data into the directory created in step 10. | |
12. From the data page start labview2root and select the directory created in step 10. | |
13. From the data page note the values V125, A125, V250 and I250 and save them in a text file in the directory created in step 10. | V125 ____

Hybrid characterization and gain test procedure.
1. From the deep tests menu select pipeline. Set peak mode with inverter on and number of events to 200. Run the test and write the data to disk. Move the .dat file from directory c:/cms/arc/data to c:/cms/arc/data/hft_3021671300XXX | |
2. From the deep test menu select pulse shape. Set peak mode with inverter on. Set rms to 1000, max latency to 18, min latency to 13 and mip to 0. Run test and write data to disk. | |
3. In directory c:/cms/arc/data rename the file PSh_hft_3021671300XXX_PeakIon.dat PSh_hft_3021671300XXX_PeakIon_0_0MIP.dat | |
4. Repeat step 2 and 3 with mip set to 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.5 and 3.0 each time renaming the file PSh_hft_3021671300XXX_PeakIon.dat to PSh_hft_3021671300XXX_PeakIon_Y_ZMIP.dat where Y.Z is the value of mip. | |
5. Move all PSh_hft_3021671300XXX_PeakIon_Y_ZMIP.dat files in directory c:/cms/arc/data to c:/cms/arc/data/hft_3021671300XXX. | |
6. In directory c:/cms/arc/data/hft_3021671300XXX copy PSh_hft_3021671300XXX_PeakIon.dat to PSh_hft_3021671300XXX_PeakIon_2_0MIP. | |
7. From the data page start labview2root and select the directory c:/cms/arc/data/hft_3021671300XXX then deselect the files from the fast tests. When prompted overwrite all files except result.log which should be written to the result2 directory. | |
8. Copy the following files from c:/cms/arc/data/hft_3021671300XXX/plots
to c:/mod_plots/hybrid_3021671300XXX
*.root, Pipe*mean.ps, Pipe*rms.ps

9. Turn off the DAQ in software. Turn off the power supplies. Disconnect hybrid from ARC front end board. |
