Final - Monday March 20 at 8:00am in 1610 Broida - Practice Final
We meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10:00-10:50am in 1610 Broida. The first class is Monday, Jan. 9. The TA, Brandon Armstrong, will teach a section on Fridays from 11:00-11:50am in 1425 Phelps.
The lecturer is Harry Nelson, and the TA is Brandon Armstrong.
This is the fourth quarter of a core course on General Physics. The textbooks will be excerpts (distributed in class) from `The Feynman Lectures on Physics Vol. 1' and the entire book `Electricity and Magnetism' by E.M. Purcell.
One midterm is planned on Friday, Feb. 10.
Homework is assigned on Fridays, due one week from the following Monday in class.
Homework turned in up to one week late will have 50% of the score removed. Homework turned in more than one week late will be noted, but no points for credit will be given.
You may work with others on working out the problems, but you must write up solutions independently of one another.
The grading formula to be 50% Final, 25% Midterm, and 25% Problems. A minimum grade on the problem sets of 50% of the total points must be achieved to receive a passing grade in the course.
The final will be on Monday, March 20, 8:00-11:00am, in the same room as the lectures, 1610 Broida.
