Follow up on action items from Aug 23 Workshop

• FNAL to install new SRT GUI from UCSB.    DONE
• Ryan to modify his macro to flag bad DCU thermistors from modules 2&6 .  DONE
• Check resistivity of non-DCU thermistors after power cycling.  On a couple of rods, both UCSB and FNAL.   DONE at FNAL, not yet at UCSB
• Add results from 1st cold to XML file  DONE, but no CVS update yet
• Add DecInvOn to XML file. Also, make sure that runs they are labelled sensibly  DONE
• Add module ID as well as module position to XML file.  DONE
• Append settings.xml file to XML file.  Potential problem, requires 1K extra lines, more than triples size.  Not clear what we decided.
• Change the average values reported from averaged over a module to averaged over a chip.   DONE
• Add channel-by-channel CMN, raw noise, ped  DONE
• Take a sample XML file and label every entry with an explanation (in English).  Post on the web somewhere.  NOT YET
• DCU temperature readings should be stored only at +20 and -20 in XML file  DONE
• UCSB to figure out why scenario takes so long.  Changed pressure delivered by chiller.  Some improvement, now down to 6 hours, needs more work.
• add a CalProf run to SR scenario, make sure that it shows up in Ryan's macro (Ryan).  DONE, but scenario takes 1 hr.  Need speed up.  Could reduce no. of events.  Jim suggests decrease no. of latency points.  Ryan to try this out.
• UCSB to try to lower noise.  NOT YET
• FNAL to build one DS_L ID=1 and 3 DS_L ID>2.  UCSB to build one DS_L ID=2 and 3 DS_L ID>2  NOT YET
• Claudio to contact Duccio re: who does ICC card swap.  DONE.  Duccio thinking about it
• Claudio to remind Marchioro about digital tests.  DONE.  Guido says: "by CMS week".
• Yuri to schedule joint meeting with Guido, Wim, Frederic for this Thursday on VRVS.  DONE.  Meeting took place.
• FNAL SR test with Option 7 cards with and without ground connection.  Marvin + Ryan took std run, then run with 100 kHz noise on CF.  There already was large 270 mV peak-to-through noise!!!!  Need to think about it
• Spare cables etc.  UCSB nneds, Steve to give Lenny details.  Lenny needs more info.
  
• One UCSB Delphi supply flaky.  Claudio to write Duccio.  DONE
• Steve to implelment agrred-upon grading scheme in XML file.  NOT YET
• FNAL needs to follow up on modules that were removed from rods for various reasons.  Anatoli confirms all errors except one module with crazy noise on chip 5 (?)
• Prepare anecdotal list of problems  NOT YET

FNAL status
Tested 10 more solution 6 rods on SRT.  One fails 2nd redundancy test consistently. 
Also seem to see more noise than usual in SRT.

Almost all new rods burnt in at MRT.  One failing module (!)

Took pictures of CLK and CTRL lines, look good. 
Want to test with benchtop PS instead of Delphi PS, although this had been done at UCSB with Guido and Wim.

Wim compiling Lt V30.  Will try asap, thne Wim gone for 2 weeks.

Frederic working on FEC SW.  Problem: V3 needs new gcc.  Considering upgrade of OS.....


UCSB status
Steve working on XML  files.  Guiilame responding to emails.

More on Spares
Spare TPO and TSC coming from CERN in September.  Riverside has TSC in case of emergency.  TPO might be a problem.
