Minutes of the July 28, 2005 US ROD meeting

General

Workshop will be August 22 or 23 in Santa Barbara.

No pinholes popped at either UCSB or FNAL.

FNAL

40 solution 6 rods built, 37 tested on SRT.
Only failure: one laser failure. Still need to try to swap AOH.

Marvin brought back 4 prototype solution 7 ICC boards.
Changed delay of clock through spliced lemos to measure margin. Result: about 13 nsec.
If delay increased beyond that point, errors go away. Why?????.

Yuri: 36 tested at MRT.

Have not shipped rods yet. First want to inspect for clearance problems,
also possible HV cable glue problem.

Thermistors: One broken thermistor was ICC board problem.
Others on modules. This info was also on ARCS, LT
Summer student wrote Perl script, found 20 out of 1K modules with opens.
NB: one ARC stand does not report thermistor info since upgrade to V8.
Positions 3 and 5 are used (potentially) in interlock.
Need to gigure out database method to flag these.
UCSB wants copy of this script.

UCSB

Still chasing temperature server failures.

Shipped 8 SS4, 1 bad frame, empty boxes, few left-over dirty rods.
