Postdoctoral fellowships at UCSB:

CMS, Milliqan, LDMX

The high-energy physics group at the University of California Santa Barbara has openings for outstanding postdoctoral research fellows to work on CMS, MilliQan, and LDMX.

Currently, the UCSB is actively involved in the CMS physics program, including searches for new physics and rare Standard Model processes. We are also involved in High-Luminosity LHC upgrades, including the High Granularity Calorimeter (HGC) and the Endcap Timing Layer (ETL). UCSB will be active in the operation of the MilliQan detector and analysis of its data in Run 3. On LDMX, UCSB is responsible for the production of the EM calorimeter based on the CMS HGC and is now studying the possibility of adding a timing layer based on the CMS ETL. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to analyze CMS and MilliQan data while participating in these cutting-edge detector projects for CMS and LDMX.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in physics and should have demonstrated excellence in high-energy physics research or a closely related field. Candidates should send a statement of interest, curriculum vitae, and arrange for at least three letters of reference to be sent to:
