To run the SVT teststand software, you need the following packages :

• Histoscope 3.1.1 or Histoscope 4.0. (Version 4.0 works with Linux)
• Tcl 7.4 and Tk 4.0
• gmake
• gcc

Here is a tar.gz file which contains a number of utility programs that you may find useful:

• getrun, a Tcl script to read the parameters for a calibration run that you have performed, and ouput them in a human-readable form



• dumpev, a program to do a formatted dump of events to the screen or to a file



• svtana, a program to read a data file and output a PAW column-wise-ntuple with all of the useful information



• quickfit, a fast program to fit threshold histograms without using PAW.



• CreateHbFile, a program to read a data file and output HBOOK histograms identical to those generated online through HistoScope.
